I don't think he was punished for booster payments, but payments from an agent
later in his career. This wasn't a recruiting infraction, but getting perks from agents trying to profit off his inevitable move to the NFL.

Right. Cam Newton didn’t have his Heisman revoked. Not apples to apples, but pretty hypocritical of the NCAA nonetheless
