the pass rush has arrived at the QB at the same time as the snap.
It's hard to know with Zach if that's a struggle or not. The Jets offense rarely had quick developing routes on a given play. On the times it did, the matador o-line had typically done it's matador routine. It's extremely hard to plant and throw when there's an immediate need to duck and run.
There were still a few plays where Zach flashed the ability to plant and throw. The 2nd and 3rd quarters of the Chiefs' game he was doing just that, to the point that Collinsworth said, and I quote, "You can't play quarterback better than this."
But when a QB has to keep his eye on the pass rush for every second of every play, as Zach did this last season, it makes it hard to develop skills like "pocket presence" and "plant and throw."
