Our optometrist now requires an extra $40 fee (which our insurance doesn't cover) for retinal imaging. It is not optional any more (it was optional in the past). For a family of several individuals, that cost adds up quickly.
Would you pay extra for retinal imaging or would you switch providers? Is retinal imaging worth it? In the past we have done the eye dilation which insurance has covered.
We aren't particularly attached to our optometrist. He is fine, but we would be willing to switch.
