Kind of like what happened at Duke this offseason, where most of their older players entered the portal because they recruited incoming talent that needed assurances of playing time to commit there. It needs to be assumed that UK will have a strong high school class coming in for 25-26 once Pope and his staff get their feet under them.

I guess if that happens there's always the portal again, but it sure seems better to avoid that in the first place.
