I don't think we know what he's lost or what the other players are thinking.
Could he have? Sure. It's possible.
Did he? No freaking idea.
What I find is that the players are more forgiving of this stuff than we as fans are. Maybe they are upset with him. Maybe they aren't. Maybe he stays and the relationship is stronger. I suspect losing trust would be a thing if he ghosted them and/or lied to them. But just taking a trip? Eh - who knows.
