I've never felt colder than the one time I was in Omaha in March
I was not prepared for the wind. It was warmish in Oklahoma when I left, and I was wearing my office Navy uniform, not warm clothes. We were just going up for the one day for a couple meetings and then back to OK again.

I was stuck standing outside the base gate in Omaha around 10pm waiting for my commanding officer to show up. The cold and wind went right through my office clothes, it was so miserable. Felt like I was standing naked at the North Pole.

I've been places well below zero degrees, but I was mentally and physically prepared for it and while it's cold it's bearable. This was something else.
