Not every company is successful at creating the right culture for remote work. Those are the ones who are demanding that people come back into the office now.

But there are plenty of very successful companies with remote workers. I worked at a company for 10 years that didn't even have an office to go into and people were promoted all the time. But they also worked very hard at creating a high performance culture that allowed them to thrive without an office.
