You can go all the way back to 2000 and be hard pressed to find any draft that contained 5 QBs worthy of a first round pick.
2020 was a rare class with all 5 of the top 5 QBs taken currently holding starting jobs. Most draft classes average 3 or fewer in the entire class that actually hit and land starting jobs.
I think Payton will be taking the best player available and won't be throwing away a pick on a QB he's not in love with.
