When you're Richie and going up against a highly touted 4 or 5 star
and you're playing just a little bit better than them, you'll probably be getting less minutes than them due to pressure from everyone around the program
For him to get substantial minutes he was going to have to be substantially better than other players at his position which was likely a long shot .
Why go to that school and get less minutes when you could play at BYU and start?
