It is crazy as Penix is 24. Cousins has a big dead cap for at least 3 years
(and then it is still $12.5 million dead cap hit).
Using the #8 overall pick for a backup QB is just moronic.
If you liked Penix that much why did you sign Cousins. Penix was always going to be there at 8.
Just like when they signed a RB at #8 when they had a great one on a great contract.
