- testimony strengthening experiences
- your desire to really be at byu for your spiritual growth
- really ensure you have stellar seminary recs

- I would start to do 2-3 service type projects that you start as a freshman in high school that you continue for 3 years.. ideally stuff that is connected that you pitch as your passion. Get involved with the national organizations on that issue .. pitch the type of leadership that you portray in it. I think you hit that “passion” from multiple angles over a few years to show your commitment .

Do that, get good grades/act, play some hs sports and then you just cross your fingers as it’s still random, but I would make sure the essays are mostly about your faith/testimony
