There was an old pond in my yard, and I’m trying to get rid of it. It is made of concrete. Rather than dig the whole dang thing out, I drilled a bunch of holes in it so that it would irrigate/drain. I filled it with dirt. I want to extend my grass to where the pond was located. The problem is the rim of concrete around the edge of the pond (the pond border).
Last year, I rented a jackhammer from Home Depot and tried to get rid of it. I really struggled to make a dent in it at all. It’s only maybe five or 6 inches wide, so the tool on the jackhammer kept slipping off and it was difficult to chisel it out.
I have clear ground on both sides and I could rent equipment. Has anyone ever dealt with anything like this before and does anyone have any suggestions? TIA
