You seem to be playing the extremes, though, if you think my original post
suggests I don't think plenty of athletes are slipp'n up on occasion.
But honestly, humorous or not — you seem to suggest that disregarding the HC standards goes quite a bit beyond that for a good many BYU athletes. At least among non-LDSs. And to my knowledge, the "look-the-other-way" of 20-40 years ago — isn't what our FB program operates these days.
And to my knowledge, bball was never all the bad (of course, it's much easier to police 15 vs 105 kids).

He's young. If he's willing to live the HC, a tryst on a Bahamas trip as a college star shoudn't necessarily concern us.

I feel like we have a distorted view of Pop because he torched us twice but he was very average the rest of the time.

Pop maybe trying to soften his image by mentioning BYU. Maybe he is interested, he might not be upon learning rules.
