Hey everyone, I feel like I'm having to replace my everyday shoes every couple years or so, and I feel like that didn't use to be the case (I feel like I've had pairs that have gone 5 years or so). I usually spend about $40-ish and usually get something like Dr. Scholl cross trainers (I like cross trainers because I feel it's a good all-around shoe in case I'm at a family gathering and want to join a pickup game of something like basketball or frisbee). Am I going too cheap? Are there some shoes (cross trainers or similar) that you have used that are good for everyday use that last a long time? There's a chance that I'm just noticing having to replace my shoes more, but still I'd like to know of options people have used and feel like has lasted forever.

Also, on kind of a side note, are Kiziks good? I remember seeing a lot of advertising for them at some point, but haven't lately. They seem really convenient. If anyone has them, how has your experience been with them?
