(ASU's Perez & KU's Adams are two he defended remarkably well) but his D against fast guards & skilled wings is painful to watch often times. He ain't no Spencer Johnson, but he's definitely picked up enough from SJ over the years, it's not fair to call Knell a bad defender so much as a limited defender.
As good as SJ was on D, he was also pretty limited. Richie & Jax were better matchups against some of the faster guards that SJ couldn't handle.
