If it's truly inside info that they're holding close, they aren't telling CougConnect folks and everyone who has a relatively small amount to throw their way.
And if it's something they aren't close holding, it tends to get out anyway through a variety of reporters and other sources.
CougConnect wants to sell itself as insider info and predictions...but the real value seems to be
1. Giving NIL money to BYU players. Even if it doesn't bring anything of value to the subscriber, it would still be a way to contribute
2. Personal connection to the players. This is maybe a different type of insider info, but it's more about what a player's nickname is or their normal breakfast or the chance to listen to them sit on a couch and just talk.
But CougConnect keeps trying to sell it as inside info on program direction and roster movement...and keeps having to issue retractions on those things
