leaving previously was driven by Pope using him as a 6th man instead of a starter.
IMO, Pope missed by starting him which would have helped us not start games down by 10 in the first 8-10 minutes and would have also jacked JAX's NBA stock with higher numbers and more minutes of highlights, etc. Maybe Young could talk him into staying and let him start where he can average 18+ ppg and get better looks in the draft next year. Gotta think there'd be some NIL $ for him, even not at the same level as another school.
A good sr. season at BYU with 18+ ppg, could increase his NBA compensation by multiples of what the delta in NIL money between BYU and another school would be. If Young can convince him he can help him get there, he could easily stay.
