their semifinal in Euro 2020 (which they lost in PKs) — the only team to outplay Italy in that tournament. And they were the losing finalist in the previous Nations League a couple of years ago. I’m interested to see how they do this year, because they’ve surprised me in those last three European tournaments. OTOH, they flamed out early in the World Cup, and Gavi is out injured, so who knows?

As for Germany, never count them out, especially at home.

France is the favorite, and should win.

England usually disappoints in these tournaments, and is exposed as overrated, as is their domestic league. OTOH, their best player this time doesn’t play in the EPL, and seems to be the real deal. Jude Bellingham, of course.
