Having spent a big chunk of one summer in HS sanding and prepping vehicles for
painting at a local shop I would never want to paint my own vehicle. Some guys love doing that kind of work but I definitely do not.

some autoparts stores can make you matching paint for your car in a spray bottle

Followed by 2K primer. I've only done motorcycles but they've turned out great.

I should add this only works on small spots, I would never do a large area.

Honestly one of the biggest regrets in life is trying to paint a car myself.
