Even when blessed with extraordinary gifts, there is no substitute for hard work and sacrifice. They both must go hand in hand for greatness to be achieved, whether in sports, academics, music, etc. So many talented people have squandered opportunities because they didn’t have the work ethic and discipline to pay the price for greatness.
