I'm hoping that Francis can lure away Rod Brind'Amour from Carolina (whose contract is up at the end of this season).

Ron Francis originally hired Brind'Amour at Carolina (and they were teammates in their playing days). Also, Brind'Amour is a BC native.

There are other options, too, including promoting Dan Bylsma from Seattle's AHL affiliate (Bylsma won the Stanley Cup with the Pens, and won the Jack Adams award in 2011).
