You mean, everybody struggled but the cream of the SEC. This is why they have conferences and peers
as a healthy benchmark. BYU fans are notorious for constantly comparing Utah to the top performing blue bloods.
No one else does that. It's weird.
But compare Utah to 90s peers like Utep, Hawaii or to our MW peers like CSU, Wyoming, UNM, Air Force...it's laughable...but that's how fun the ride has been. Passing up each of those programs one at a time.
Or St, WSU, Cal were all considered markedly better brands. Utah soared past them this past decade.
Even great brands like BYU, CU or ASU aren't getting anywhere near the respect Utah is in the new conference.
