She could have found a new home for the dog. She told this story to portray herself as some sort of tough guy that can make tough decisions. But, she comes across small and petty. She said she hated the dog. She also killed a goat she didn’t like. She is a sociopath and it scares the heck out of me that anyone might want to give her any real power. I feel bad for you that you think an animal is a tool that you can dispose of at will. When you take in an animal whether it be a working animal or a pet, you take in the responsibility to give that animal a decent life, feed it, care for it, appreciate it. Every faith teaches some version of this.
