2017 - 7 games - Freshman year
2018 - Mission
2019 - 11 games - Sophomore year
2020 - 1 game - Covid year
2021 - 8 games - Junior year
2022 - 2 games - Redshirt year
2023 - 4 games - Senior year

The only way I see he could have any eligibility left is if he applied for a medical redshirt for 2023 since he had an injury and was only able to play in 4 games.  I would think his scholarship at BYU has been reassigned as you don't plan for guys to be in your program using a scholarship for 6+ years.  Maybe he is looking for one last hurrah?  Medical/injuries seem to have kept him from being as good as he could have been.
