Contracts must become a part of NIL. There has to be some type of accountability or commitment. The current lawlessness of NIL isn't good for the sport. YES I AGREE players should get paid, but they ought to be required to sign a contract that binds them to their team.
You want to be paid like a semi-pro or pro athlete? Great....then there has to be certain parameters around that. But EVERY SINGLE ATHLETE on EVERY SINGLE TEAM being a free agent EVERY SINGLE YEAR isn't good for college sports.
No other argument can convince me otherwise. It's not good. Paying players is good. But no contracts and a way to enforce them is not good.
