It appears that Blueto is correct, at least as far as 2023 is concerned.
Unlike football where 85%+ find a home somewhere, basketball players are not as successful.
Last year, only 48% (532 of 1,115 entrants) of transfers went elsewhere. Results from the previous two years:
2022 78% (660/867)
2021 92% (430/467)
On going 2024 numbers - 33% (349/1,041)
The results surprised me as I had assumed that the percentage of players who found a new home, would mirror those of football.
IDK why the discrepancy exists.
