hope they're wrong. Looks like it's Steve Bartle's prediction hoping he's wrong. BYU fans already complain we're under-sized at the 5, why would we want to bring in another under-sized 5 who has no offensive skill set other than dunking? Didn't we just have that in our 3rd string center who went into the portal (AAA)?
Keita is a small upgrade over Atiki. A little less foul prone (still commits a lot of unnecessary fouls though), a little better rebounder than AAA, similar shot blocking, and pretty good at drawing fouls but a lousy FT shooter (career 53.4%). Basically a little better version of AAA. We should be aiming higher than looking for bench guys. Rim runners are dime a dozen and Keita is really low hanging fruit here. We have no need to hurry here, I'd be fine offering him a PWO spot but I'm really hoping coaches are looking for and aggressively pursuing guys who can compete for starting roles, not 3rd string roles.
