There obviously was legit talent on that team. No one is disputing that. And sadly we will never know how they would have performed against the original schedule.
What some of us dispute is it being used as proof to Kalani and Tuiaki being good coaches.
Last years team probably would have went through that schedule and ended up with the same record. That’s how bad/easy that schedule was.
I don’t think you can objectively use that schedule and numbers as proof of anything when it comes to the collective team. I mean, Navy hadn’t even practiced tackling as a defense when we played them - and it showed.
And in the game that mattered most, Kalani and Tuiaki laid an egg.
