(But I think they also feel immensely stupid right now — that USU in the meantime got a guy they WISH they'd been wise enough to hire a few years ago. Watching UW hire Sprinkle away while they were stuck w another year at least of Craig — that had to have been a pretty tough pill to just swallow. And it sure won't be a notch in Harlan's favor.)

The yewts for sure will be a little bolder & pricier w their next hire. And that would definitely NOT amount to hiring Burgess. As a HC, Burgess would be a low-level hire for a Cal-State-nobody. But as an upper-D1 assistant, he's not a bad hire at all. And as an assistant specifically for us — he could amount to a great hire. One that hopefully we can hang onto for a few more years this next time round.
