...anymore. The game has evolved. You don't see teams running dual low post guys. We've already seen it fail when Pope tried it with Haarms and Lee and again with Lohner and Fouss.
It worked with Yoeli and Lee because both guys can step away from the basket and hit the 3. Forced defenses and opposing rim protectors to have to step away from the hoop and defend in space opening up the paint for cutters and 1-on-1 post touches.
It's similar to the changes in football away from Ground Chuck run heavy offenses and old leather helmet era 3 running back type formations and more of a focus on spreading the field and getting defenses to have to defend more space both sideline to sideline and vertically.
Go watch youth, high school and AAU teams play and you'll see. Teams aren't loading up on post players, it's guards and wings. Maybe volunteer to help coach a youth team. It's a lot of fun and a great way to get your basketball knowledge up to date. I love doing it. My best team was a team full of 6'1" to 6'3" kids. Not a single low post player In the group. Everyone could pass, shoot and put the ball on the floor. We won 3 league titles in a row
