first year after redshirt transfer in (redshirt required in those days). CBers were merciless and visionless, demanding Bryant be cut, claiming he was all misguided hype, and that his scholarship was a waste.
Regaining heath the next year, Eli critics lost their memory. But Eli didn't forget them.
Bryant/Baker games are similar, talent level similar, inspirational leadership similar, transfer in process, disappointing nagging injury, etc. all nearly identical.
History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymes. This foolishness happens over and over on CB.
I've seen Baker play. Healthy, he would have been at the top of the roster last year.
But it's all good. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised again.
Of course I'm not talking about you, Big Daddy D. Everyone knows you don't miss much.
