Non DP out is not "an out". It could move a runner over. It could result in an
error.

The ability to avoid swing and miss, adds to pitch counts.

Strikeout rate absolutely matters.

Taylor has been streaky in the past, so maybe a little more patience is needed but his propensity to strike out has always been a huge negative and he's now gone 65 plate appearances with a negative OPS+.

His defensive flexibility is probably the only reason he's still around, but if we're talking Vargas he plays 2B, 3B, and LF. So that attribute wouldn't be lost.

Again, if the time comes it will be painful for this CT3 fan, but at this rate I will totally understand.

Maybe it would be best if he got "injured" and faced live pitching at CBP for a few weeks to see if he can get it turned around.
