That's why I'd like to find someone economical. We had someone in our ward, but he succumbed to COVID at the age of 42 the week he was supposed to do some prior work and I've found no one since.
We have to turn off water to do the job, and if for any reason I mess up, then I've GOT to fix it or the whole house shuts down.
When I was in a YA ward there was an apprentice that did excellent work and he was affordable. I don't mind a couple hundred for even only an hour. It's just like you said, these jobs come out to much more.
