Added benefits of this route:
Much easier and less competitive to be admitted to BYU. All my siblings and I attended BYU at the same age as all our peers from HS, living in student housing and everything, but didn’t have to sweat about a competitive admissions process or taking the ACT at all, let alone multiple times.

You can take classes that qualify for credit at BYU that are generally harder at BYU. For example, Econ 110, American Heritage, writing 150, Chem 105, business school prerequisites, etc. Many of these classes are overly difficult because they need to weed out students for their programs, so they become competitive at BYU. Much easier to get an A with a bunch of stoners at a community college.

You can still enjoy a social life, even though not at school. This one depends on the kid and if they’re already social, but you can still go to the school dances, sporting events (although not as a player), etc. Some trade offs, but the pros are better IMO, especially if she’s already looking to give that stuff up.
