I've seen my share of metatarsal injuries also, with setbacks. Eventually they recover.
Had a youth baseball player, big heavy guy, who was temperamentally inclined to do too much too soon, eventually recover fully. Made Major Leagues as a pitcher.
I think Baker is coming back a 100% and that he'll be the #1 go to guy.
