With this huge investment for KY, though — they probably don't want him to fall flat in his first year, either.
There's probably a bit more pressure to keep KY happy than there was for Pope or any previous BYU HC.
For job security's sake — KY I can imagine won't want to tarnish his coaching resume with talent-light rosters that simply aren't built to compete.
Let's face it: that's what we had going on last season. Yes, we had experience on our side, but our talent was pretty pedestrian.
