Well, I guess that leaves us with two options. They either decided by color like I’m suggesting or they intentionally
Picked the 15 teams or so to display on the cover. In doing so, they put BYU, Arizona, and Kansas on the cover instead of schools like:
Penn State
Wisconsin
Washington
USC
Tennessee
Ole Miss
LSU
Texas A&M
I’m sure you’re right, it makes more sense to put BYU/Kansas on the cover than it does to put last year’s runner up and the team with the Heisman winner.

That’s true, but they didn’t sit down and say “what ten teams do we want on the cover? BYU for sure.”
