We ended up with a rooster when we bought some chickens last year. It was loud
and we debated getting rid of it until we had a neighbor complain that it was keeping her awake. We got rid of it. No big deal.
I'd talk to your neighbor and let them know it's keep you and your family awake. Never fun to confront a neighbor but sometimes something needs to be said. If they don't do anything about it then call animal control.
