I’ve had them about 14 times, including now. Not sure any have passed naturally, maybe once. Rest have needed to
be shock waved or dealt with via lithotripsy. First couple were so painful I was throwing up on the way to the emergency room. Most still very painful after that.

One of the two currently was taken care of via blasting. The other is more stubborn and they’ll have to go the more invasive route of going through my back to claw it out. Wondering what the recovery time will be.

It’s decent care here in the Northeast, but it’s taken too long overall. First I have to get an x-ray or CAT scan, then an appointment with the urologist a few weeks later, then the procedure several weeks after that. Then have repeated the same cycle two more times.

Had the CAT scan for the remaining stone back in April, appointment with the urologist was set for May 6th. They called me when I was about to go there to tell me the doctor had to go to the hospital for some emergency and that they’d have to reschedule—first available appointment is sometime in June only for him to take 5 minutes to tell me what the CAT scan shows and to go back to the front desk where they’ll enter some stuff in the computer for the scheduler to then call me with the surgical procedure which will be several weeks after that.

I wouldn’t mind so much if I hadn’t been dealing with one or two stents in me since December. They aren’t painful, just uncomfortable enough that I can’t workout much—mostly just getting walks in—and waking up a few times in the night.
