He finished his last college race this past weekend at the Big Sky Championships. He didn’t have his best race but not his worst. Just felt slughish and that sucks in the Steeple. What I was worried about was the feeling after you realize your running career at least in some type of school is over.

He admitted he is feeling pretty empty. He signef up for a marathon already. I said the empty feeling is normal after 11 years of competitions. I’m sure most people feel that after years dedicated to a sport I told him I related a bit after I served my mission I felt that way for a short time. He’s also young and plenty of life adventures he has ahead of him.

In some ways I’m more sad because it’s been such a positive part of my life going to his meets and supporting him. I still enjoy helping other young people and their parents.

Time is relentless isnt it. I guess I should look forward to grandkids, just cant figure out how to motivate my boys to go get a wife.
