I'll say it again - they should use bat speed to determine whether something
is a check swing or not.
What is the speed of the bat as it crosses home plate? If over a certain speed, then it's a swing. Under that speed, not a swing.

I don’t think that’s a good metric. There’s a deceleration element too.
