UVU and Utah Tech have open enrollment. USU is harder to get into... kinda.
The cheapest option is going to be Utah Tech. Housing can get expensive though... rates keep going up at student housing (at the nice locations... there are always the not-nice locations). The St. George Institute has a large collection of LDS kids... Its also not hard to find LDS roommates. However, spring & summer all of the student wards combine due to kids going home for the summer... It can get a little empty in July.

I know a lot of kids who really enjoy Utah Tech and student life in St. George.

UVU is BYU-Orem. Lots of housing is shared between the two. Lots of wards, Lots of kids, Lots of parents send their kids to UVU (lots of girls go to UVU to find their BYU husbands). The downside... living in Orem and not BYU 🙂

Utah State is where kids go to hide the fact that they are gay from their parents.
