I didn't apply to BYU. My mission president applied for me as soon as he found out I was planning on Arizona State.
I didn't think my grades were good enough for BYU so I didn't bother. ASU was 6 miles from home and a lot of my friends were planning on going there as well. When I got into BYU, I made the only logical choice.
