Amazing that an upscale steakhouse can't get it right. The waitress and even the manager should have come around to make sure the steaks were right. No excuse for serving someone a fillet overcooked. I too can't understand ordering a steak well done. It's uneatable.

Go to Texas Roadhouse and get an upscale steak likely cooked right every time for a fraction of the price. They'll come and check to make sure the steak is cooked right. If not they'll make it right. The difference is they care about their quality and their customers.

There are plenty of very good steakhouses around. They're no better than TR and cost a lot more. And you don't get any country music, line-dancing waitresses and peanuts. Can't beat a deal like that. Plus discounted gift cards.
