an equitable or free-market split of NCAA football and men's basketball revenue between players and coaches/admin/colleges/non-revenue sports.
We are enduring some chaos in the transition but we will find market equilibrium. I think NCAA sports will become even more compelling. How much NFL/NBA/MLB payroll goes to guys who aren't playing or contributing night after night? A lot. I don't see those excesses making their way into NCAA football and basketball and that will make it an even better version of the highest pro leagues.
NCAA football and men's basketball have been professional sports for a long time. We just tolerated NCAA rules funneling all of the profits to old men whose principal contribution to success - 90%+ - was their ability to recruit the best players.
Social media is a real challenge to all content producers. Only the best will thrive. I think NCAA sports have as good a chance as any to survive. But there will be consolidation and change.
