What US-eligible player, not on the roster for Nations League or the last World Cup, is most likely to compete for 2026?
I had a buddy who told me that Cavan Sullivan would likely play for the US during 2026, and I laughed because he'd only be 16, and there's no shot he's on the roster unless we are in some major dire circumstances.

Here's a few guys that I think could make a push for the 2026 World Cup roster:

Tanner Tessman - Venezia. If Venezia aren't promoted this season (they are currently in the promotion playoffs in Serie B), he could go to a Serie A team. There's been a lot of interest.
Taylor Booth - FC Utrecht. Kid just needs to stay healthy. He has the special sauce, just needs to stay healthy enough to get consistent.
Gaga Slonina - The US has a dearth of goalkeepers and is basically begging for someone to take the reins. Gaga has been on a tough team (Eupen) all season and has had GREAT experience with shot-stopping.
Kevin Paredes - He's been starting all year for Wolfsburg, and he's been exciting to watch. He's one that in the past we would have deemed a US savior if not for all of the players we have in Europe.

Darkhorses:
Cole Campbell: He's with Dortmund's youth team. He's killing it in that league.
Paxten Aaronson: He was on a terrible Vitesse team this season, but he was their best player. Terrific loan spell for him.
Auston Trusty: He's been very poor for a very poor team this season. Hopefully he has another strong year in the Championship like he did last season with Birmingham

Not in the running anymore or would need some serious improvement:

Jesus Ferreira
Walker Zimmerman
Brandon Vazquez (who has been fairly average in Liga MX)
Not sure I need to include him but JA Brooks is out and isn't coming back

Others I'm forgetting?
