When you look at Kentucky's 8 transfers, there's a lot of shots there:
When you break down how many 3s each of the transfers took, it looks like this:

Koby Brea - 201 3s or 6.09 3FAs/game (the most on Dayton)
Kerr Kriisa - 144 3s or 6.26 3FAs/game (the most on West Virginia)
Lamont Butler - 100 3s or 2.86 3FAs/game
Otega Oweh - 53 3s or 1.89 3FAs/game
Ansley Almonor - 221 3s or 7.36 3FAs/game (the most on Fairleigh Dickinson)
Andrew Carr - 97 3s or 2.77 3FAs/game
Amari Williams - 3 3s or 0.1 3FAs/game
Brandon Garrison - 0 3s

Then you look at 2s:

Koby Brea - 45 2s or 1.36 2FAs/game
Kerr Kriisa - 45 2s or 1.8 2FAs/game
Lamont Butler - 100 3s or 5.4 2FAs/game
Otega Oweh - 223 2s or 7.96 2FAs/game (the most on Oklahoma)
Ansley Almonor - 164 2s or 5.47 2FAs/game
Andrew Carr - 215 2s or 6.14 2FAs/game
Amari Williams - 265 2s or 8.55 2FAs/game (the most on Drexel)
Brandon Garrison - 159 2s or 4.97 2FAs/game

When you total up those numbers, you have 27.33 3s per game and 41.65 2s per game for a total of 69 shots per game. BYU was one of the teams who took the most shots per game last year and they averaged 63.5 FGAs per game.

When you look at possession usage, you have these numbers:

Brea - 14.2% (19.4% shot percentage) - 5th year
Kriisa - 19.1% (17.8% shot percentage) - 5th year
Butler - 20.3% (20.7% shot percentage) - 5th year
Oweh - 23.8% (24.9% shot percentage) - 3rd year
Almonor - 21.4% (25.3% shot percentage) - 4th year
Carr - 19.1% (18.9% shot percentage) - 5th year
Williams - 31.8% (25.7% shot percentage) - 5th year
Garrison - 19.1% (15.8% shot percentage) - 2nd year

You have 3 players that take a combined 75% of the shots when they're on the court. According to kenpom, they have 3 "major contributors" and 1 more "significant contributor". Every one else are "role players". There's going to have to be some MAJOR role adjustment on a team like that.

And the problem with that, most of the players are in their last year. It's easier for younger players to adjust to new roles but you have 5, maybe 6 players, playing their last season and will have to adjust to potentially new roles in a new system with a new staff that they only know through the honeymoon phase of the recruiting process.

it will be interesting to see how this experiment goes this year.
