Yep I had this just last week. I had booked a hotel with points. Got a call
Saying they needed my credit card to confirm the room. I had already given the card info online so I was skeptical and usually you just give them the card for incidentals when you check in. Told them I would call back(at a number I looked up on marriotts website) It turned out to be legit. But better safe than sorry
