an unpaid ticket from 5 years ago for running a red light. Initially they said if I just paid $4500 (the fine plus late fees and interest), it would all go away. I said no, and then they increased it to $6K for disobeying a police officer. To think, I could have saved myself $1500 if I'd just paid it.
