I generally love the solitude.
But yes, sometimes there can be too much of a good thing. I occasionally get to hike with other hikers that are similar in ability and I also find that very enjoyable

Almost to the Sierra. Still a decent amount of snow. I'm nervous for July 1st, can't imagine doing it in May/June.

The South Fork of the San Joaquin bridge was destroyed last Spring. That is where I am super nervous.
